from the 2dawn site today - 06.29.12 - about changes coming due to feedback. Some obvious fixes gonna be applied .....
Some upcoming tweaks based on feedback
Done
- Lower rate of damage for weapons for longer firefights
- Lower splash damage for rockets and added min distance for rocket to arm.
- Lowered heavy MG gun against vehicles
TODO
- Vehicle steering under larges amount of ping
- Key Binding Fixes
- Graphics Settings fixes

We have 2 months of beta, we will try it out and find the right balance

Latest build is going out and contains the following updates:
- Lowered damage from assault rifles
- Lowered Heavy Machine damage against vehicles
- Lowered M79, LAW and RPG splash damage
- Tweaked steering on several vehicles. You can also adjust your steering sensitivity in the UI
- Added Helicopter to Resistance on CTR Liberty
- Added Team killing ban on dedicated server
- Added ability to turn off team killing
- Global banning system
- Additional Keybinding Fixes
- Regrouped weapon keys 1 = primary 2= secondary, 3 = throwable 4= Melee
- More minmap Icons to represent vehicle types
- Players in vehicles take less splash damage than players exposed outside vehicles

Hi all, the build and servers are going through a transition currently to fix some bugs.
Should be up again soon.
We found some issues that were hanging servers, causing issues.
Next up is the wacky player counts. We are aiming for the next build for that one.
We are also planning on some more resistance vehicle tweaks.
And I am sorry heli boys, but stationary and mobile AA guns are on there way.
Thank you all for finding all these bugs! Like we said, we are REALLY in beta. This is not a demo.. We got about 2 months left of bug fixing.

July 3rd changes - new update to get
Fixes today include:
- Live News on frontpage of game
- Fix for Playercount in servers
- Audio fixes for many vehicles not having proper attenuation and LODs
- Fix for rifle LODs
- Lowered Grunt MG
- Increased Stinger Speed and Damage Radius
- Notifications (no spawns)
- Moved Icebreaker flag for better gameplay
- Cleaned up Liberty foliage and Capture the Resource Point
- Potential fix for levels getting stuck on rotation
- Fix for rapid fire pistols
- Additional vehicle handling adjustments
- Sodabomb and Knife fixes |

Ravaged Beta update today - open up your Steam
2 New maps - Oil RIg in an Ice setting
Highway - desert setting
There is a new helicopter - small - on the Highway map - currently, the map is named Capture the Resource - flub of the gamemode name. The game is now resetting Audio on every map you enter. Still the same lack of players and about 10 servers. I won't trash the game, but its got a ways to go. Didn't get the chance to actually fight anyone until the last map before I quit - due to spraying an enema and he simply turning round and one-shot killing me.
From Mastershake:
If every time you load up the Ravaged beta you see a small window that says "Microsoft VC Redist Package (1 of 1)" here is what it is. The game wants to update you to Visual C++ 2010 x86. However if you are already updated to a newer version it keeps trying for some reason. So to fix it do the following. Go to your Steam install folder and find the following subfolder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ravaged\Redist
and remove the file "vcredist_x86.exe". The game shouldn't try to install it anymore. |

- F.O.V. glitch when "pumping" boost fixed.
- Scoring fixes: Multiple "Capture The Resource" carriers added.
- Kill assists added.
- Map Fixes: Canyon, Resource Control (thrust mode hang), Derelict, Rooftop (control point changes, lighting, collisions fixes)
- Oil Rig map added.
- Head and crotch shot detection and announcements improved. Removed ass shot.
- Stinger: radius reduced
- Pistols: reduced damage.
- Little Bird Helicopter: 2nd seat camera fixed.
- Gyro Helicopter pitch sensitivity reduced.
- LAW and RPG damage increased.
- Throwing Meat Clever: added to build.
