Established in 2009, 2 Dawn is dead set on bringing the fun back to games.
Our team is made up of passionate gamers with AAA game development experience.

Ravaged the game:
Ravaged is a first person shooter online multiplayer game set upon a post-apocalyptic earth devastated by natural disasters caused by the sun's solar flares. It chronicles the struggle between the “Resistance” and the “Scavengers” as they fight one another in order to gain an upper hand in an ongoing war for survival, territory and resources.
In general, the Scavengers are an outnumbering, oppressive, murdering group of lawless criminals that wish to claim all land and resources for themselves. They will stop at nothing in order to accomplish their goal.
The Resistance is a group of resistance fighters hell bent on restoring civilization. These civilians were able to seek shelter as the world succumbed to natural disasters during the year 2012, taking with them precious goods and weapons while the criminals and less fortunate lived off the land.
Ravaged is an action game. Furthermore it is a multiplayer only First Person Shooter with Vehicles, Team Objectives, and skill based gameplay.
The team behind Ravaged worked on titles such as the Desert Combat, Battlefield 2, Frontlines and more.
We are developers with AAA game experience that wanted to create a team based game that requires skill and over the top fun.
Ravaged is currently in developing and will be in Beta early 2012, releasing on PC in spring 2012 via Steam and other PC distribution methods.

When is the game coming out?

A lot of people are asking about the dates for beta and release of the game. Right now we can tell you Beta will be in Spring 2012 and Release in Summer 2012. Once we work out some details with Steam we'll be able to give out more exact dates so stay tuned!
Ravaged is a class based first person multiplayer game but it also features intense vehicle combat.
Vehicles range from ATV's, Dirt Bikes, Gyro choppers, pickup trucks and even heavy construction equipment.
Most of the vehicles can carry an exsessive amount of players into battle as resources are rare.
RIght now the gyro has mounted machine guns and self propelled proximity rockets for air to air battles. The gyro copter is one of the few vehicles that only supports 1 player.
Most vehicles support multiple players |

The Ravaged devs - 2DawnGames - have setup a fundraiser with the Kickstarter site, an interesting games-booster approach. Their goal is $16,000 - and I just donated $25, which gives me the game.

Let's bring back the fun!
As video game developers we often get pulled into the land of publishers. While its good to have someone backing your game, it also tends to focus games towards trends, numbers and executive goals. This has sucked the life out of most games and killed off many good studios.
Well here is your chance to be part of a game where the fun is the focus. To do this, we are going to need your help to put the finishing touches on the game, join our beta and help us get the word out.
The Kickstarter funding will be used to

I found this info about the 2 gametypes for the Beta ....
Just to give you guys a little info, our two game modes as of this moment are Capture the Resource(CTR), and Thrust.
CTR is pretty self explanatory, steal the enemies resource, protect your own, however how you do this is what we are working on right now and I'd like to thank you guys for all of the ideas! It's funny how some of our ideas completely mirror yours, and we hope to make this game mode more interesting than what you are used to seeing (while always fun, capture the flag has been around for what, 10,000 years?). This game mode can get pretty crazy when you think of all the possibilities with vehicles.
Thrust is another objective based game mode where you have to capture points on the map and hold them to score points. We are going to leave it up to the map maker on whether or not you must capture these points in a specific order( ex: you can't capture point 2 before point 1, like forming lines in military situations) or no order at all, these captured points become areas to spawn.
as for spawning in general, you will be able to spawn at any captured base (there are neutral bases at game start up that you can capture for more vehicles and better spawn locations. One of my favorite aspects about spawning in Ravaged is the fact that you can spawn in friendly vehicles as long as there is an open seat. Making it easy to get right in the sh*t....if that's the sort of thing you're into.
